HAVERHILL ROVERS RESERVES
5-0
HAUGHLEY UNITED

Haverhill continued their fine pre-season form with a 5-0 victory against Haughley.

A confident Haverhill team took the lead after 31 minutes when Sam Holmes met a Harry Halls corner with a powerful header that left the opposition goalkeeper stranded.

Paul Hunt added a second 6 minutes later, lashing a loose ball home from inside the penalty area.

The second half saw more of the same with Hunt doubling his tally in the 51st minute following a fine run.

Substitute Jack Jones took the total to four with the goal of the night, a dipping left foot half volley from all of 25 yards, and Luke Stockings completed the scoring in the final minute, heading a cross onto a Haughley defender before it crossed the line.

All in all an excellent performance from an exciting Haverhill team.
